President Elect, Donald Trump has called for Britain’s next ambassador of the United Stated to be Nigel Farage. Farage said he’s “very flattered” by the news but Downing Street has insisted there is “no vacancy”.
Trump took to Twitter to announce the suggestion to his 16m followers.
Many people would like to see @Nigel_Faragerepresent Great Britain as their Ambassador to the United States. He would do a great job!

Farage told the Press Association: “I’m very flattered by the comments and I have said since I met the president-elect that I would like to do anything I can to act in a positive way to help relationships between our two countries.”
However, number 10 quickly responded with: “There is no vacancy. We have an excellent ambassador to the US.”
People in the UK didn’t welcome the news and took to twitter with a new hashtag #BetterAmbassadorsThanFarage. Many posting pictures of who or what they thought would make a better ambassador…
