A couple have tested positive for coronavirus with their family along with six other people after flying from Manchester to Berlin on a Ryanair flight.
The Turkish couple flew back on 16 July and the couple aged 50 and his 45-year old wife went to their doctor after developing a scratchy throat and tested positive after six days.
The couples four children aged nine to 21-years and their grandmother are also infected, and a further six people have also tested positive and 50 people are now self-isolating.
Before flying home, the couple met with friends in Manchester, and then visited their doctors in Berlin after developing a scratchy throat and cough following their holiday.
Over the last eight days Berlin has recorded a total of 234 new coronavirus.
