The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) has told citizens in Lebanon to evacuate from certain regions as warplanes are conducting bombing raids on Hezbollah targets.

Israeli warplanes have pounded over 300 Hezbollah sites and explosions can be heard for many miles.

An Israeli security official told the Hebrew outlet Ynet that they are now entering their “Third Lebanon War” and military “raids will begin in the near future.”

Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said, “We advise civilians from Lebanese villages located in and next to buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, such as those used to store weapons, to immediately move out of harm’s way for their own safety.”

He added that “every house that we strike contains weapons” and that the IDF is “systematically broadening our strikes against Hezbollah.”

The IDF said on X, “Over 300 Hezbollah targets have been attacked.”

IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee said on X, “Residents of Lebanese villages: The raids will begin in the near future – evacuate the houses where Hezbollah weapons are hidden immediately!

“Hezbollah is lying to you and sacrificing you. Hezbollah says that you are its environment and that you are its audience, but it seems that its missiles and drones are more valuable and important to it than you.”

The Lebanese Information Minister accused Israel of a “psychological war” by phoning and messaging residents across his country to evacuate areas by at least 0.6 miles of any Hezbollah strongholds or infrastructure.

Ziad Makary said, “This comes in the framework of the psychological war implemented by the enemy.”

He is urging people in Lebanon “not to give the matter more attention than it deserves.”

The Israeli security source warned they are expecting there to be a large-scale attack from the Iranian backed militant group Hezbollah.

He said, “There are days ahead of us when the public will have to show composure.”

The Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant warned, “We are at a new stage in the war, there are days ahead of us when the public will have to show composure.”
