The Al-Qassam Brigade who are the armed wing of Hamas have fired long-range missiles to the popular tourist town of Eilat just outside of the Negev Desert.
The terrorist organisation fired the “powerful new weapon” on to the Israeli town which is an escalation of the growing conflict.
They wrote in a Telegram post, translated from Iranian, which reads, “Al-Qassam Brigades bombard ‘Eilat’ with an Ayyash 250 missile in response to the Zionist massacres against innocent civilians.”

The Ayyash 250 missile has a range of over 250km and on 13 October the weapon was fired towards the northern territory of Safed, Galilee which is 206km from Gaza and residents in southern Lebanon felt the impact 29km away.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) are increasing their strikes on the Gaza Strip and overnight Israel killed dozen of targets.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said, “We are not stopping our attacks on the Strip. We are increasing the attacks in the Gaza Strip in order to reduce the threats to our forces in preparation for the next phase of the war.
“We will go to the next stage under the best conditions for the IDF and in accordance with the decision of the political echelon.”
