Trump warns Tehran another armada ‘might be going’ out to the Middle East

12th Feb 26 10:38 am

The Pentagon is preparing another aircraft carrier for potential deployment to the Middle East, three US officials have confirmed.

The US President belief is that if Washington is prepared to launch a strike on Iran should nuclear talks collapse, then sending another aircraft carrier might make Tehran think differently.

Speaking to Israeli news outlet N12, Donald Trump said, “Either we will make a deal, or we will have to do something very tough like last time.”

He warned that an armada is already in the region “and another one might be going,” out to the Middle East to put more pressure on Iranian officials.

Trump told Axios, “We have an armada that is heading there and another one might be going.

“Either we will make a deal or we will have to do something very tough like last time.”

A US official told the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) deployment could be “issued in a matter of hours.”

The WSJ said the Pentagon reported a second aircraft carrier could be deployed “in two weeks, likely from the East Coast.

The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks with Trump on Wednesday to discuss on the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social, “There was nothing definitive reached other than I insisted that negotiations with Iran continue to see whether or not a Deal can be consummated.

Last time Iran decided that they were better off not making a Deal, and they were hit with Midnight Hammer – That did not work well for them. There is truly PEACE in the Middle East.”

Last week Washington has warned all US citizens who are in Iran to leave “immediately,” US citizens are being warned to leave now and the exit plan does not involve any government help.

Trump sent an “armada” of warships to the Gulf which includes a large number of warships, at least one submarine and the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier which has been stationed in the region since January.

The US embassy in Tehran is advising Americans to “leave Iran now. Have a plan for departing Iran that does not rely on US government help.”

In January Iranian state TV has sent a warning to the US President that any attack on Iran could “trigger a volcano” in the Middle East.

Lebanese Hezbollah official Nawaf Moussawi warned on TV that America can attack Iran, the problem is “what hols the US back is its inability to predict the aftermath of the strike.”

Moussawi warned Donald Trump that “hostile action” from the US will not be enough to topple the Iranian regime,

He added, “Washington has been seeking to topple the political system in Iran ever since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.”

He was asked if Hezbollah will respond to any US military action on Iran, he said, We will cross that bridge when we get to it.”
