When it comes to being banned from driving, every little speeding point counts. But clearly Tesco chief executive Philip Clarke did not acknowledge this before racking up 12 penalty points that led to his driving license being revoked.
Clarke, who drives a Jaguar XJ, has been banned for driving for six months. However, with a chauffeur available to him, don’t expect Tesco to be hard hit, as Clarke will still be able to run the company.
Speaking about the matter, Tesco said in a statement: “Philip Clarke regrets this matter and accepts the decision to suspend his licence.”
