The UK has recently sent Ukraine another batch of “long-range” Storm Shadow missiles “several weeks ago,” Bloomberg reports.
The recent batch of missiles sent to Ukraine comes after the US President Joe Biden and the British Prime Minister authorised the use of the lethal weaponry inside Russia.
Citing anonymous sources Bloomberg reported dozens of the Storm Shadow missiles were sent to Ukraine but refused to provide the exact number amid security concerns.
This is the first time it is known that Sir Keir Starmer has sent weapons to Ukraine as he and the government have pledged to continue to support Kyiv.
The deliveries, which were not publicly announced, took place several weeks ago and were ordered after Kyiv ran low on the long-range missiles,” the sources told Bloomberg on condition of anonymity.
