A Kremlin backed school in West London which educates suspected intelligence agents and diplomatic staff is teaching children to operate military drones
The Russian school which is run by Russia’s Foreign Ministry in Notting Hill teaches children who have British citizenship with those who are Russian passport holders.
The Times reported that last month the school taught pupils aged between 15 and 16 were taught technical preparation and communications for combat drones.
In the 2024/25 academic year, a programme introduced across Russian schools called, Fundamentals of Security and Protection of the Motherland (OBZR).
The programme teaches weapons handling, including how to assemble a Kalishnikov assault rifle, grenade throwing, military drills and how to build trenches along with other military skills.
This is to teach children battlefield medical care, fortifications and how to protect against radiological, biological and chemical attacks.
Ian Garner, author of Z Generation, warned, “Students [at the embassy school] are learning very real military skills.
“This isn’t a course designed to keep safe in the event of an emergency.”
He added, “These are courses that are saying to kids who are studying in England that you need to align yourself with a military identity, you need to be able to fight because the war is already happening and it is surrounding you as a Russian.”
