Vladimir Putin has ordered a “full scale invasion” in Ukraine with air strikes and artillery hitting the capital Kyiv and also Kharkiv.

The world is waking up to the biggest aggression in decades  and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba described the assault as a “full-scale invasion.”

He said, “Peaceful Ukrainian cities are under strikes.

“This is a war of aggression. Ukraine will defend itself and will win. The world can and must stop Putin. The time to act is now.”

Russian forces have bombed Mariupol airport and Ukrainian tanks have headed towards to area.

Russian ground troops are entering Ukraine from Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions in the east and columns of troops are also arriving by sea the cities of Odessa and Mariupol in the south.

In the east of Ukraine there have been claims that the Ukrainian military have downed five Russian military planes but Russia denies this.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s office said armed forces are fighting hard as there is a mass Russian artillery bombardment on key infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.

There is much confusion on the ground with so much disinformation on both sides.
