Godfrey Bradman, the property magnate behind London’s Broadgate Circle and bidder of Battersea Power Station, is planning to turn the site into a 2,000-space car park surrounding 6,000 residential units.

To rebuild the site, Bradman is thought to have joined forces with Derrick Beare and property moguls David and Simon Reuben. He plans to forward-sell the residential units at £800 per sq ft to finance the development.

The Telegraph reports that Bradman “has been able to secure an advantage” over other bidders, including Chelsea Football Club and the Malaysian property developer SP Setia, because he’s backed by Beare.
