The British Prime Minister has blamed a “barbaric” Vladimir Putin for driving the current global economic crisis.

Jeremy Hunt is set to deliver the budget and is expected to announce tax hikes and spending cuts as Putin has been accused of “turning off gas taps” and is guilty of “choking” the world’s grain supply.

Rishi Sunak said the G20 summit in Bali “took place amidst the worst global economic crisis since 2008.”

Sunak warned that “economic shockwaves will ripple around the world for years to come” and  promised the Government are “delivering a decisive response” amid the war in Ukraine.

Addressing the missile which landed in Poland he said at the moment it is unclear where the missile came from, but said the “blame belongs soley to Russia.”

The Prime Minister added, “As we have heard the Polish and American Presidents say, it is possible that the explosion was caused by a Ukrainian munition, which was deployed in self-defence.

“Whether or not this proves to be the case, no blame can be placed on a country trying to defend itself against such a barrage.”
