A fire that broke out behind the kosher supermarket Kosher Kingdom on Wednesday morning is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were called to Golders Green Road shortly before 7am after a major blaze sent thick smoke across the area and forced the closure of nearby roads around the busy shopping parade.
The Metropolitan Police said officers worked alongside the London Fire Brigade throughout the morning as crews brought the fire under control.
In an update later on Wednesday, police confirmed the blaze is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault and is not being treated as suspicious.
The incident prompted a significant emergency response after firefighters received dozens of calls from members of the public reporting flames and heavy smoke near the supermarket.
Around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines were dispatched to the scene from stations including Finchley, West Hampstead and Willesden.

Road closures remained in place for several hours around Golders Green Road and Beverley Gardens while crews continued to damp down hotspots and assess the damage.
No injuries were reported.
The fire nevertheless caused concern within the local Jewish community following a series of recent antisemitic incidents in north London, including the stabbing of two Jewish men in Golders Green last month and an arson attack earlier this year involving a Hatzola ambulance.

Police said officers would remain in the area to provide reassurance to residents and local businesses.
Witnesses described seeing large plumes of smoke rising above the shopping area during the morning rush hour, with some nearby properties briefly evacuated as a precaution.
By Wednesday afternoon, the fire had been contained and investigators were continuing enquiries into the precise cause of the electrical fault.
