Irn-Bru maker AG Barr has announced stronger sales and profits since prices were increased at the start of 2025

Over the past six months AG Barr has seen stronger sales of energy sports drinks and the CEO Euan Sutherland said the business has made “good progress.”

In the 26 weeks to 26 July revenues increased by 31% to £228.1 million and growth was largely due to “pricing actions taken in the first quarter.

Pre-tax profits grew by 41.4% to £35.2 million over the past six months.

Sutherland said, “I am pleased to report strong first half results that reflect continued delivery against our strategic priorities and positive momentum across the business.

“We are making good progress putting in place the building blocks of long-term growth.

“We are investing in our brands, operations and people to build a stronger, scalable, more profitable business.”
