Euro 2012, Gangnam Style, Usain Bolt and…drumroll please…London dominated internet searches in 2012.
According to Google Zeitgeist, the annual list of the most searched terms, Whitney Houston, who died in February, was the top trending person in Google searches followed by Kate Middleton, Gary Burlow, Tulisa and Jessica Ennis.
Euro 2012 came in first in trending searches beating tickets to Olympics and Kate Middleton. Other top searches included Netflix, iPAd 3 and Kate Middleton.
U.S. Open champion and London 2012 gold medallist Andy Murray was the most searched for Olympian, and Justin Bieber’s break-up with Selena Gomez was the most searched-for break-ups.
