The UK will miss out on Facebook Home phone after bad reviews of the app in the US.
The HTC phones that came with the app were due to launch in the UK next month but Facebook has decided to delay it and concentrate on improving the software.
The news comes after a YouGov survey revealed that the use of Facebook in the UK has declined by 9% year-on-year. Back in April, 1.4 million Britons logged out of Facebook in a month.
Speaking about the delay, UK carrier EE said in a statement, “Following customer feedback, Facebook has decided to focus on adding new customisation features to Facebook Home over the coming months. While they are working to make a better Facebook Home experience, they have recommended holding off launching the HTC First in the UK, and so we will shortly be contacting those who registered their interest with us to let them know of this decision.”
