Danish news has reported on Wednesday that Denmark is sending troops and military equipment to Greenland amid fears the US President could attack the country.
The advance command has already started sending logistics and infrastructure ready for a larger contingent of Danish troops, local broadcast DR reported.
The Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen has warned that should American troops invade Greenland this will be the end of NATO.
The Danish Prime Minister said the world should take Donald Trump “seriously” as he keeps insisting, he wants Greenland now.
Frederiksen said in an interview with Danish broadcaster TV2, “One should take the American president seriously when he says that he wants Greenland.

“If the US chooses to attack another NATO country militarily, then everything stops, including NATO and thus the security that has been established since the end of the Second World War.”
On Tuesday, Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen confirmed to reporters, “We are now moving forward with the whole issue of a more permanent larger presence in Greenland from Danish defense, but also with the participation of other countries.
“Just as we had in 2025, where we saw that there were other NATO countries participating in exercise and training activities in Greenland, we will also see this in 2026.”
European leaders have given their support to Greenland and the British Prime Minister is considering to send British troops to the country.
The US President posted on Truth Social on Wednesday, “The United States needs Greenland for the purpose of National Security.
“It is vital for the Golden Dome that we are building. NATO should be leading the way for us to get it. IF WE DON’T, RUSSIA OR CHINA WILL, AND THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
“Militarily, without the vast power of the United States, much of which I built during my first term, and am now bringing to a new and even higher level, NATO would not be an effective force or deterrent – Not even close!
“They know that, and so do I. NATO becomes far more formidable and effective with Greenland in the hands of the UNITED STATES.
“Anything less than that is unacceptable. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT”
