Just yesterday, Apple chief Tim Cook was seen pacifying investors for the tech giant’s first fall in profit in 10 years.
Now, Cook has promised to have a cup of coffee with a winner of a charity auction on New York-based website Charitybuzz. Bids have already topped $36,999 (£24,000) and are expected to fetch at least $50,000 (£32,000).
The winner will get to take one guest to meet Cook at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. The guests must “conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz. Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.”
All proceeds will go to The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights.
Kerry Kennedy, president of the RFK Center, said: “The RFK Center’s annual auctions empower our human rights advocacy around the world, from courtrooms to classrooms, from Cambodia to California”
“It’s an honor to have so many stars from the worlds of business, media, entertainment, and sports helping us carry forward Robert Kennedy’s dream of a more just and peaceful world.”
