The Hyde Park memorial for the 52 victims of the London bombing on 7 July 2005 has been defaced with anti-Blair graffiti, on the ninth anniversary of the attack.
The red and black graffiti messages read “thousands died, Blair lied”, “four innocent Muslims” and “7/7 was an inside job”.
The graffiti is thought to have appeared around midnight last night, and has now been removed by police.
The memorial cost nearly £1m and was erected in 2009.
There is a memorial service taking place today at midday for the victims of the bombings, which took place on London tubes and a bus in 2005.
