Following a large attack on the Ukrainian capital on Wednesday which involved “ballistic missiles and drones” Kyiv are preparing for a “massive attack.”

At 7.20am (local time) the Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko said that air defences activated as ballistic missiles and drones were heading for the capital.

A source who is in Kyiv told LondonLovesbusiness.com that “ballistic missiles” were heard and “North Korean missiles with attack drones” were deployed.

Ukrainian air defences shot down “several cruise missiles and ballistic missiles and up to 10 drones,” and our source told us that they witnessed “falling debris hitting buildings” and some drones “ended up being lost.”

A source said it “has been rough in terms of the potential threat here,” although “it has been the same for the last three weeks with around 60 drones a night coming over, and they [Ukrainian forces] are averaging a knock down rate of 40 something and then 10 or 15 disappear.

“The damage we are getting on the ground is down to the shrapnel coming off the drones.

“Last night they sent over some inter ballistics but they were downed anyway before they even came to Kyiv, by there is a major attack coming as they [Russia] are doing practice runs.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “This morning, Russia launched yet another combined attack on our cities, and our air defense responded effectively.

“It is crucial that our forces have the necessary means to defend the country from Russian terror… Timely delivery of interceptor missiles for our air defense, fulfilling agreements on defense systems, and electronic warfare production and supply are, without exaggeration, lifesaving efforts.”

Andrii Kovalenko, a senior official at the National Security and Defence Council, wrote on Telegram that Russia is ready to carry out a “massive attack” and Moscow has accumulated numerous amounts of missiles “for the winter” months.

He added, “The use of strategic aviation confirms this. All the enemy’s plans are known and understood, Ukraine will counter.”

On Tuesday the NATO secretary-general Mark Rutte warned Ukraine is facing its “harshest winter since 2022” the year the war started.
