Robbie Williams and Mo Farah have called on George Osborne to clamp down on tax dodging firms.
The stars have thrown their weight behind the ‘Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign’ that beckons global firms to pay their taxes in the world’s poorest countries.
Campaigners said that tax avoidance by multinational firms costs “poor countries more than £100bn a year”.
“The IF campaign is calling on the UK and other governments to change global rules to make sure companies pay their fair share of tax in the poor countries in which they operate,” they said in a letter to the Chancellor.
