From plastic trinkets to iPhone covers and even dolls – would you like to make the objects of your desire right in the confines of your own home?
How? Well, as of today, you will be able to go and buy yourself a 3D printer from your nearest Maplin store.
The retailer, the first to sell 3D printers on the high street, is selling the Velleman K8200 device for £700.
The kit includes five metres of plastic tubing used as the ‘ink’ for the 3D printer and new cartridges cost £30.
Maplin commercial director Oliver Meakin told the Telegraph, “I hope some children will be using this rather than playing video games.”
