iPhone 6 launch: Apple confirms 9 September event with media invite

iFans, mark your calendars for Tuesday, 9 September 2014. Why? It’s the day of the mother of all tech launches in the world.

Apple has sent out invitations for a big launch event at the Flint Centre in Cupertino, California, for around 6pm UK time.

The invitation’s tagline is, “Wish we could say more”.

The rumour mill is churning at the speed of light for what new products Apple plans to launch. The biggest rumour is, of course, the launch of the iPhone 6 which is expected to come in two versions – one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch display.
