Over 70 firefighters evacuated 600 people from Camden’s Stables Market after a fire broke out yesterday.
Thankfully no injuries were reported but a number of railway arches used as shops were damaged by the blaze.
Firefighters were called at the scene at 8pm and it took over two hours to control the fire.
The roof voids at the shops in the market caught fire and also affected passenger train lines.

Borough Commander Richard Welch, who was at the scene said:
“When firefighters arrived they were faced with a fire in a range of shops under railway arches and the smoke could be seen from miles around. Firefighters worked hard to bring the blaze under control and stop it spreading further.”
