A Russian official at a meeting of Russia’s Security Council said that Ukrainian citizens and Moscow need to “desatanise” the country urgently.

The Russian Security Council’s assistant secretary, Aleksey Pavlov, claimed Ukraine has turned into a “totalitarian hypersect” as “hundreds” of citizens had abandoned Orthodox values.

Pavlov said, “I believe that with the continuation of the special military operation, it is becoming increasingly urgent to carry out the desatanisation of Ukraine.”

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that Putin’s troops are waging an “uncompromising struggle against Satanists,” and he warned that Ukrainian cities must be “wiped off the face of the Earth.”

Kadyrov said on Telegram that the war in Ukraine has now entered the territory of Chechnya, and he is “unhappy about this.”

He said, “I think our response is weak. If a shell lands on our side, in our region, we have to wipe the cities off the face of the Earth so that the distant horizon is visible.

“To make them realise that they cannot even consider attacking our side.”

He added, “patriots from different parts of our vast motherland” are still arriving in Chechnya to become “members of one close-knit family.

“They addressed the soldiers with parting words and stressed that the tasks remain the same: the destruction of Satanists, the protection of the civilian population and the provision of assistance.”
