The ‘Ayatollah regime has crossed the red line’ and they ‘will pay a severe price’

2nd Oct 24 1:37 pm

The former British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has warned the Middle East is in an “extremely dangerous” moment as Israel has warned Iran they will “pay a really severe price.”

Following a barrage of ballistic cruise missiles raining over Israel on Tuesday evening the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said they will retaliate at a time of their choosing.

The Israeli Foreign Minister has warned Tehran that they have now crossed the “red line” with their attack on Tuesday.

Israel Katz said in a statement, “The Ayatollah regime has crossed the red line – and the State of Israel will not remain silent in the face of Iran’s brutal attack on our citizens.

“The entire free world must stand with Israel to stop the Iranian axis of evil – before it’s too late.

“The support and solidarity from leaders and nations around the world will never be forgotten. We know who our friends are.”

The Israeli ambassador to the UK Tzipi Hotovely said “no country can tolerate that” adding that the UK would retaliate if London was attacked with ballistic cruise missiles.

She warned that Iran will pay [a] really severe price for what it did” last night and for its role in backing the likes of Hamas, Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthis.

“It’s been making sure its proxies will build a fire ring around Israel of terrorism.”

An Iranian academic has said that the missile attack was a “massive blow” to Israel and if they retaliate in Iran, Tehran will beat the country “into submission.”

Speaking to Sky News, Professor Mohammad Marandi, from the University of Tehran said that Israel saying Iran’s attack was a failure is “wishful thinking.”

The Ayatollah’s missiles attack on Tuesday evening “was a massive blow to the Israeli regime.

He added, “If they dare strike back in Iran, we will hit them much harder next time. We will beat them into submission.”

He was asked it Iran could survive if there was all-out war, he stated, “Iran will not hit back harder. Iran will hit back much harder.”

He said, “This was the tip of the iceberg. Iran will lose no war,” he added, there is “no doubt” Israel would lose in all out-war.

Speaking to Sky News Shapps said it is “difficult to imagine Israel not responding,” to the Iranian attack from, “a country that wants to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.”

“I can also say with confidence that if nothing changes, then we’ll continue to have Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas, the Iranian-backed militias, both in Syria and Iraq and Iran itself continuing to attack,” he added.
