The Russian dictator has made it clear there will be no compromise in peace talks and there will be no peacekeepers and Vladimir Putin is setting “maximalist” demands that he wants all the occupied territories, Bloomberg reported.
Putin will also not allow Ukraine’s neutrality as this will be unacceptable and Western officials believe the Russian tyrant will continue with the war if Ukraine walks away from all the demands.
Officials also believe that Putin will not compromise as there is little to no incentive for him to do so as he believes Russian forces are doing so well, this in turn could help the Russian tyrant blame Zelensky for scuppering talks.
After the peace talks on Tuesday a Ukrainian officials said, “We see this meeting as a great opportunity to advance peace and develop the Ukraine-US strategic partnership.”
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has told President Volodymyr Zelensky that he will have to give up the territory that Russia has seized, including Crimea which was annexed by Moscow in 2014.
Rubio insisted to officials in Kyiv and Moscow that there is “no military solution to this situation.”

He added, “The Russians can’t conquer all of Ukraine and obviously it’ll be very difficult for Ukraine in any reasonable time period to sort of force the Russians back all the way to where they were in 2014.”
Rubio also said that he is hoping that the US does not have to tighten sanctions on Russia, in an attempt to persuade Moscow to help resolve the war.
He said, “It should be clear to everyone that the United States has tools available to also impose costs on the Russian side of this equation, but we hope it doesn’t come to that.
“What we’re hoping is that both sides realize that this is not a conflict that can end by military means; it can only end by diplomatic means. And the President’s goal is to bring them both to the table to get this resolved.
“But it’s a reminder that we understand that the United States has tools at its disposal if in fact this falls apart, and – but we’re hoping it doesn’t. We really do. We hope it doesn’t reach that point.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “Russia is open for peace efforts, for peace settlement around Ukraine, and we actually prefer to reach our goals through peaceful and diplomatic means.
If today and tomorrow shows that Ukraine is ready for negotiations, it will be a different story,” meaning if Kyiv agrees with what Moscow wants.
