Qatar has added the UK to their travel red list as cases have been rising, which will affect thousands of holidaymakers looking for the winter sun.

On arrival to Qatar fully vaccinated tourists have to spend two night in quarantine at a hotel and those who are not fully vaccinated must book a seven day stay.

Tourists will also be required to provide evidence of a negative PCR test, which must have been taken within 72 hours before arrival in the country.

Qatar has placed 21 countries on their travel red list on, which includes the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia and Singapore, whilst Egypt, Sri Lanka and Egypt have been placed on to the “exceptional red list.”

It is too early to determine if the rise in cases in the UK is the start of another upward trend as cases are rapidly rising.
