Trump’s campaign advisor Roger Stone arrested over alleged collusion with Russia

Campaign advisor and staunch ally to President Donald Trump, Roger Stone has been arrested and charged in Florida.

Stone will appear in the city of Fort Lauderdale court later Friday afternoon, he has been charged with, five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering.

The alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign is being investigated by US special counsel, Robert Mueller.

President has strenuously denied the claims made about his 2016 US Presidential election, Trump has called it a “witch hunt.”

More than two dozen Russians have had charges made against them, as well as Trump’s former national security advisor, Michael Flynn and the former chairman of the election campaign, Paul Manafort.
