Thomas Cook aircraft engineering to close down

The engineering and maintenance arm of Thomas Cook are set to close two months after the operator collapsed into administration.

The maintenance arm was taken over by Thomas Cook in 2007 as part of a £1.1bn merger with MyTravel.

The engineering arm based in Manchester are will be wound down by KPMG who were appointed as special managers, as the group is liquidated.
