The British Prime Minister has said the UK will send “new enhanced defense support package” to Ukraine of precision long range weapons.

The British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said the UK will send their first long range M270 multiple-launch missile system.

Wallace said the M270 rocket launcher fires 12 surface-to-surface missiles with one minute and can hit targets as far away as 50 miles with pinpoint accuracy.

The British Defence Secretary said, “As Russia’s tactics change, so must our support to Ukraine.

“These highly capable multiple-launch rocket systems will enable our Ukrainian friends to better protect themselves against the brutal use of long-range artillery, which Putin’s forces have used indiscriminately to flatten cities.”

Vladimir Putin said in an interview on Russian state TV on Sunday, “In general, all this fuss about additional arms supplies, in my opinion, has only one goal – to drag out the armed conflict as long as possible.”

Putin added that if missiles with longer ranges do arrive in Ukraine, then Russia will immediately “draw appropriate conclusions” and “strike at those targets that we are not striking yet.”

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a news conference, “The longer the range of the systems that will be delivered, the further we will move back the Nazis from that line from which threats to Russian-speakers and the Russian Federation may come.”

Since the start of Putin’s war Russia has insisted that they are aiming to clear Ukraine of Nazis, which Kyiv has rejected.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Boris Johnson more support packages for Ukraine and that they will work on unblocking sea ports to prevent a global food crisis.

Zelensky said, “Talked with Boris Johnson. Told about the situation on the front. Received confirmation of a new enhanced defense support package for Ukraine.

“Raised the issue of intensifying work on security guarantees. Jointly with UK we’re looking for ways to avoid the food crisis & unblock ports.”
