Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ValerIy Zaluzhny has said that overnight Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine firing 158 air attack weapons.
Ukrainian forces destroyed 27 Iranian kamikaze Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs and 87 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles, according to “preliminary results.”
The commander said that critical infrastructure, military, industrial and civilian facilities and buildings were attacked by Russia, leaving many dead and wounded.
Zaluzhny said, “According to preliminary results, the enemy used 158 means of air attack against Ukraine this night: missiles of various types and attack UAVs.

“The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed: 27 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs; 87 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles.”
Zaluzhny added, “At the same time, the invaders hit Kharkiv with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. In general, the enemy fired at least 14 missiles flying along a ballistic trajectory – S-300/S-400/Iskander-M from the occupied Crimea, Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia.”
He said that at 3am Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers took off and fired eight X-22/X-32 cruise missiles in the direction of the northern and central regions of Ukraine.
At 6.30am MiG-31 K fighters took off and launched five aerobatic X-47M2 Dagger missiles from Astrakhan region.
There was also, four X-31P and one X-59 anti-radar missiles were used from Su-35 tactical aircraft.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “A maternity ward, educational facilities, a shopping mall, multi-story residential buildings and private homes, a commercial storage, and a parking lot. Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and other cities.
“Today, Russia used nearly every type of weapon in its arsenal: Kindzhals, S-300s, cruise missiles, and drones. Strategic bombers launched X-101/X-505 missiles.
“A total of around 110 missiles were fired against Ukraine, with the majority of them being shot down.
“Unfortunately, there have been fatalities and injuries as a result of the strikes. All services are working around the clock and providing the necessary aid.
“My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured.”
Zelenskyy added that “we will surely respond to terrorist strikes.”
