A strong Vladimir Putin loyalist has threatened that the Kremlin could take NATO land “in a matter of hours” which would immediately spark a global conflict.

A large convoy of Wagner forces were seen for the first time entering Belarus and could attempt to seize control of a strategic piece of land between Poland and Lithuania.

The strip of land in question is the Suwalki Corridor which is around 100 kilometre piece of land which is along the Polish and Lithuania borders.

The Suwalki Corridor is a strategic piece of land for NATO as well as Russia and it would provide the Kremlin with direct access to the Kaliningrad enclave which is where Putin’s Baltic fleet is based.

Security experts have described the Suwalki Corridor as NATO’s “Achilles heel” and is the “most dangerous place on earth.”

General Andrey Kartapolov, a former deputy Defence Minister, told the state TV channel, “We’ve talked already about the clever move of our Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

“It is clear that Wagner PMC went to Belarus to train the Belarusian Armed Forces. In fact not only that.

“There is such a thing as the Suwałki Corridor. Should anything happen we need this Suwałki Corridor very much.

“A strike force is ready to take this small corridor in a matter of hours. And here again we are ahead of them.”
