Citi’s co-head of banking, capital markets and advisory in the UK and Ireland has left the bank after allegedly making inappropriate comments to a female colleague.
The Telegraph reported that Jan Skarbek allegedly told a female analyst he needed “love and affection” while on the getaway. He was suspended last month while an inquiry took place.
Skarbek’s exit was announced internally this week Bloomberg reported on 10 August citing sources with knowledge of the matter.
Skarbek had served nearly three decades at the firm, but has been the subject of an investigation over allegations he made inappropriate comments to a junior while on a work trip to Spain.
