Just days after being linked to the House of Fraser (HoF) rescue deal, Sky News has now reported that billionaire Philip Day is poised to snap up collapsed womenswear brand Jacques Vert.
A company, controlled by the owner of Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group, is reportedly buying Calvetron Brands, which fell into administration in May this year.
Day’s latest deal also includes a number of Calvetron’s smaller brands, which included Eastex and Windsmoor, the sources added.
One insider said that an announcement was expected to be made by Duff & Phelps, Calvetron’s administrator, this week.
