Around  40,000 foreign soldiers and ex military have arrived in Kyiv, of which 500 are Canadians and they have created their own unit, Canadian TV presenter Dean Blundell said.

“Approximately 40,000 foreign fighters (military and ex military) have made it to Kyiv. So many Canadians, they gave them their own unit (500 and growing),” he said on Twitter.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that Canada are to send another batch of highly-specialized military equipment to Ukraine.

“Just spoke with President Zelensky. I let him know that Canada will send Ukraine another shipment of highly-specialized military equipment.

“We discussed sanctions against Russia and humanitarian assistance for Ukraine, too,” Trudeau wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

“Canadians have been inspired by the bravery and resiliency of Ukrainians and the leadership the President has shown, and I know they are eager to hear directly from him,” the Prime Minister added.
