The British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has confirmed that the UK will provide military helicopters to Ukraine for the first time since the war started.

Wallace announced that the UK are now escalating support to help Ukraine with their fierce resistance against Vladimir Putin’s bloody war.

The PA news agency reported that former military Sea Kings are being provided with one already in Ukraine, which are the first piloted aircraft to have been sent.

The Royal Navy provided six weeks of training on the Sea Kings working with Britain’s armed forces and engineers.

The Defence Secretary said an extra 10,000 artillery rounds will be sent to Ukraine and the government’s defence support package will also provide 125 anti-aircraft guns and a further 1,000 surface-to-air missiles.

During a visit to Norway, Wallace said, “Our support for Ukraine is unwavering. These additional artillery rounds will help Ukraine to secure the land it has reclaimed from Russia in recent weeks.”
