As the war in Ukraine has surpassed 100 days a top Kremlin official issued a chilling warning to the West that the world must not wait for the biblical horsemen to come which is in the book of Revelations.

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman, Dmitry Medvedev criticised international sanctions against Russia over the invasion of Ukraine.

Medvedev warned the West “that the horsemen of the Apocalypse are already on their way.” He insisted that Moscow has never closed down any communication with the world.

He said the consequences of the sanctions from Moscow’s point of view, these are not predictions but “things have already happened.”

He added, “One can have different attitudes to it, one can believe that the horsemen of the Apocalypse are already on their way and all hope is in Almighty God.

“However, one can still try to tone down this international situation.”

In what could be seen as a sign of desperation he said that Russia “has never shut itself off from international communication” and they are open for talks with the US and UK.

Vladimir Putin said in March that the international sanctions which started against Russia was “akin to a declaration of war,” he added, “but thank God it has not come to that.”

On Friday the European Union imposed more sanctions on Moscow which are the “most visible, direct and powerful responses to Russia’s brutal and unprovoked attack on Ukraine, including systemic violence and atrocities against the civilian population.”

The British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said the sanctions were part of “exposing and targeting the shady network propping up Putin’s luxury lifestyle and tightening the vice on his inner circle.”

Truss added, “We will keep going with sanctions on all those aiding and abetting Putin’s aggression until Ukraine prevails.”
