Ukrainian officials have warned that more than 700,000 people will starve as Russia are “deliberately attacking Ukraine’s grain regions.”

As result the supply of wheat, sunflowers, and corn supplies will affect around 400 million in total.

Russia are constantly attacking Ukraine’s food facilities and the country is known as the “breadbasket of the world” and they are a major export of grain and oilseeds.

The Embassy of Ukraine to the State of Israel posted on their official Facebook page, “Russia is deliberately attacking Ukraine’s grain regions that supply wheat, sunflowers, and corn to 400 million people.

“Recently, Russia even murdered in a targeted attack Oleksiy Vadaturskyi, one of the major wheat importers in the region and a Ukrainian patriot.”

Separately, the Embassy emphasised, “Because of the Russian aggression, over 700 thousand people will suffer from hunger!”

Vladimir Putin is starving the world as the war in Ukraine is gathering pace and the Russian leader has previously said that Moscow will not back down until they have achieved their aims.

A leading historian previously predicted that Putin will target Ukrainian exports leading to “tens of millions” starving in developing parts of the world.

This will also create an influx of refugees to Europe, which will destabilise the continent whereby Moscow will use this as propaganda to blame Ukraine for the global famine.

Timothy Snyder, Levin Professor of History at Yale, has written extensively on Ukraine and said Putin is “preparing to starve much of the developing world as the next stage in his war in Europe.”

He warned,”In normal times, Ukraine is a leading exporter of foodstuffs. A Russian naval blockade now prevents Ukraine from exporting grain.

“If the Russian blockade continues, tens of millions of tons of food will rot in silos, and tens of millions of people in Africa and Asia will starve.”
