The Met Office has issued amber warnings for strong winds and heavy rain across Ireland and parts of the UK.
There are two amber warnings in place for southeast Northern Ireland and northwest England and across the whole of Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and northern England there are yellow warnings.
Matthew Lehnert is a Chief Meteorologist with the Met Office said, “Storm Debi has developed rapidly overnight and will bring impacts across parts of the UK today.
“Because of the particular risk of impacts to parts of County Armagh and County Down this morning and parts of northwest England through much of the day we have issued two amber wind warnings.”
Storm Debi will bring winds between 75 and 80 mph in exposed coastal areas and inland there will be winds between 60 to 65 mph.
