Dmitry Medvedev has issued a threat to British soldiers warning they are legitimate targets for training Ukrainian forces.

Medvedev who is the deputy head of Russia’s Security Council warned that the British armed forces training Ukrainian troops is yet another move by the West bringing World War Three closer to happening.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph Shapps said he has spoken with army chiefs to move “more training” into Ukraine and is calling on defence firms to do business with Kyiv.

Shapps said, “I was talking about eventually getting the training brought closer and actually into Ukraine as well.

“Particularly in the west of the country, I think the opportunity now is to bring more things in country, and not just training. We’re seeing BAE, for example, move into manufacturing in country.

“I’m keen to see other British companies do their bit as well by doing the same thing.”

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, gave his warning as the British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has spoken to the Ministry of Defence chiefs to send the British Army into Ukraine to train soldiers in country.

Medvedev wrote on Telegram, “[This will] turn their instructors into a legal target for our armed forces.

“Understanding perfectly well that they will be ruthlessly destroyed. And not as mercenaries, but namely as British NATO specialists.”

Medvedev also slammed Germany for those who want Berlin to supply Ukraine with the deadly Taurus cruise missiles which could easily strike targets deep inside the Russian Federation.

This comes as Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, chair of the Defence Committee at the German Bundestag, argued that Ukraine has the right under international law to “attack military targets” deep inside Russia to blow up military supplies heading to the frontlines.

Strack-Zimmermann said that Ukraine needs the Taurus missiles to stop the “suffering” in the war-torn country.

Medvedev said, “They say this is in accordance with international law.

“Well, in that case, strikes on German factories where these missiles are made would also be in full compliance with international law.

“These morons are actively pushing us towards World War Three.”
