The former chief executive of Starbucks, Howard Shultz 65, has said he is “seriously considering” running for US President, as a centrist independent candidate in 2020.

Shultz said in a series of tweets that the two political parties are, “more divided than ever.”

“Let’s discuss how we can come together to create opportunities for more people.”

Shultz said in an interview with CBS 60 minutes that, “We’re living at a most-fragile time not only the fact that this president is not qualified to be the president.

“But the fact that both parties are consistently not doing what’s necessary on behalf of the American people and are engaged, every single day, in revenge politics.”

Shultz has an estimated net worth of £2.3bn ($3bn), he has been a regular donor to Democrat campaigns, he is friends with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
