Cambridge University economic fellow and Brexit protestor, Dr Victoria Bateman also known as the ‘naked economist’ stripped naked for a live TV interview on Good Morning Britain.
Dr Bateman had the words ‘Brexit leaves Britain naked’ written across her naked chest.
She raised the question of a naked debate with Jacob Rees-Mogg, presenter Richard Madeley suggested as a “gentleman,” and arch Brexiteer Rees-Mogg should agree to the debate.
Henry Newman, director of Open Europe who was joined with Dr Bateman said the stunt was “embarrassing” and “I don’t think it’s actually advancing the argument.”

However, Dr Bateman said, “I am a woman comfortable in my own body, in control of my body, who is happy to use my body in order to deliver an important message about the most important issue facing Britain in a whole generation, to raise concerns about this entire Brexit project.
“Why as a woman should I only be able to use my body for sex and babies, why shouldn’t I also use my body to deliver an important message.
The key message that I have to deliver is that Brexit is the emperor’s new clothes, that what high profile Brexiteers promised Brexit voters is just not possible to deliver.
“The British economy faces many, many problems right now, shortage of housing, problems with the NHS, wages stagnating, too many people up and down the country using food banks but the European Union is not the cause of those problems so how is it going to help us.
“How is Brexit going to help us solve those problems that are at the heart of our daily struggles up and down the country?”
