Doodle launches new integration using Slack’s Block Kit, to allow users to easily organise meetings within the platform

The world’s leading scheduling platform, Doodle, today announces a new product on the Slack platform. Built with Slack’s new UI framework, Block Kit, the Doodle Bot allows users to create and send meeting invites all within Slack, making finding the best time to meet your team, easier than ever.

Drawing from its vastly successful web platform, which saw over 19m meetings created in 2018, Doodle Bot for Slack has been designed with simplicity in mind, translating the scheduling experience from web and mobile apps and syncing fully with Slack.

The Doodle Meeting Report, which launched in January 2019, revealed just how painful it can be to schedule a meeting, with professionals taking at least five hours on average to respond to a meeting invite.

Both Slack and non-Slack users can use the new Doodle Bot, offering simple communication between individuals and organisations. Over time the Doodle Bot will utilise Doodle’s smart scheduling services to learn from user behaviour to customise their scheduling experience. New smart services will introduce features like personalised suggestions based on availability, habits and personal preferences for example, no early morning meetings for those who need their early morning coffee.

Commenting on the launch, Doodle product manager Netali Jakubovitz said, “We’re excited to share the Doodle Bot with our users and the opportunity to work with Slack. Over time the bot will learn from user behavior, and will help making Doodle users’ lives easier than ever, saving them time and energy.

“Working on this product with the Block kit in hand was a scheduling dream come true. It is a key part of our work now, making the Doodle experience on Slack simple than ever.”
