International Trade Secretary Liz Truss said on Wednesday morning that taking care of the country’s health, and protecting the economy, is a “difficult balance to strike.”
Speaking to Sky News Truss said, “I think we’ve got the balance right. What we don’t want to do is go back to another lockdown.
“We don’t know everything, and we don’t claim to know everything.”
She was asked about scientists who are calling for life to return back to normal for all, but the elderly and vulnerable.
Truss said that there is a “danger of a young person passing Covid onto older people.”
She added, “This is a societal disease. If you get coronavirus, you’re a danger to others.”
