President Donald Trump has attacked the Chinese President Xi Jinping over a massive “worldwide killing” of hundreds of thousands of people.

Previously Trump has blasted China and accused them of blocking evidence of coronavirus and slammed the World Health Organization (WHO) for not declaring an emergency sooner.

He has been a fierce critic over China for also refusing to share data, viral samples and denying US scientists access to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where it is thought the virus originated.

In a fierce tweet, Trump tweeted, “Some wacko in China just released a statement blaming everybody other than China for the Virus which has now killed hundreds of thousands of people.

“Please explain to this dope that it was the ‘incompetence of China, and nothing else, that did this mass worldwide killing!”

Trump’s provocative message to China comes as the Chinese government said the US are trying to shift the blame over Washington’s handling of the pandemic.

Beijing have defended their own handling of the virus and have called for an independent review, once the virus is under control.

The Chinese President, Xi called the pandemic “the most serious global public health emergency since the end of World War Two.”

He said, “All along we have acted with openness and transparency and responsibility.

“We have turned the tide on the virus.”

To date 323,956 people have died across the world, with 4,927,487 infected with coronavirus.
