Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou the founder of EasyGroup has accused ICAMAP the fund manager of trying to “steal” easyHotel from under the noses of investors.

In his latest attempt to block the takeover of the business Sir Stelios said the groups 95p a share offer does not reflect its true value.

On Wednesday he said, “I think ICAMAP is simply trying to ‘steal’ this company from under the noses of other investors.”

In an attempt to block the merger Sir Stelios tried to buy more shares, he currently owns 27.5% but only bought 0.01% of the share capital.

He said failure to find more sellers for 95p is “proof that the real value of an easyHotel share today is well above ICAMAP’s offer.”
