Scottish Independence Referendum result too close to call after Nicola Sturgeon unveils document

The result for Scotland to become independent appears to be too close to call with odds of 5/6 for it to pass and also fail on Betfair.

Meanwhile, a second referendum to not happen before 2025 is odds-on with Betfair Exchange, while it’s 11/2 to happen next year.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said, “After Nicola Sturgeon revealed her bid to make Scotland independent, the result seems too close to call with it odds-on at 5/6 to pass, but also fail. It’s also odds-on at 1/3 with Betfair Exchange for Sturgeon not to have her way for a second referendum before 2025, while it’s 11/2 to happen at the proposed date of next year.”
