RMT leader Bob Crow dead

The Rail, Maritime and Transport boss Bob Crow has died.

Crow passed away in the early hours of this morning at the age of 52.

“RMT would request that all media respect the privacy of the friends and family of Bob Crow at this distressing time,” RMT said in a statement.

“The union’s offices will be closed for the rest of the day and the union will make further announcements in due course.”

Crow had featured in a Radio 4 debate just hours before on Monday night, arguing in favour of an MPs pay rise.

According to Evening Standard journalist Ross Lydall, Crow suffered an aneurysm and a massive heart attack.
