President Trump visits the UK for state visit

President Donald Trump and the First Lady begin their three day state visit to the UK, and later he will head to Buckingham Palace to have lunch with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Air Force One will land at Stanstead Airport on Monday morning and then President Trump will travel by his helicopter, Marine One accompanied by a decoy helicopter, three Chinooks and a police helicopter to the US ambassador’s residence on London.

Trump and First Lady Melania will be welcomed by the Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, when they arrive at the Palace a Royal gun salute will happen from Green Park and the Tower of London.

Later this afternoon Trump will visit Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at Clarence House for tea.

Theresa May who is in her final day of being prime minister will meet Trump at the state banquet held at Buckingham Palace.

May said on Friday “This is a significant week for the special relationship and an opportunity to further strengthen our already close partnership.”
