Niantic the creators behind Pokemon Go now valued at $4bn

Niantic has raised their valuation three-fold in a year to a healthy $4bn, up $3bn since their last valuation one year ago.

IVP led the series C funding to raise $245m will be invested in their development of an AR platform.

IVP partner Sandy Miller said, “It’s a rare opportunity to partner up with a company that is already highly profitable at this stage, which is another reason we are so bullish on Niantic.”
